The aim of this activity is to establish the test basis for the development tests. At first sight, this seems problem-free. After all, the test basis is the same as the development basis. Nevertheless, it makes sense to give careful consideration to this activity, as things may be overlooked, especially in the area of standards and guidelines. With waterfall methods, it can be established whether all the documents have been included in configuration management and approved. With methods where user participation is required, a list of involved users with their decision-making powers is drawn up during this activity.
